UPPER SILO
So much about the Gardner Village event venues makes them unique, but the greatest of those traits has to be the backdrop of a mill built in Utah’s pioneer era. The impressive grain silo Archibald Gardner built as part of his West Jordan Flour Mill in 1877 is now home to Archibald’s Restaurant AND the first stop on our Event Venue Tour — the Upper Silo.
This is one of the smaller event venue options on property, making it an ideal choice for any of the following:
- Corporate events and trainings
- Wedding and baby showers
- Holiday parties
- Awards dinners
Who says corporate events have to be drab? Elevate your next training or seminar with the Upper Silo set in a seminar seating fashion.
As with any event held here, you can expect gorgeous décor and ambiance.
GEAR ROOM
Let’s take this tour from the uppermost level of Archibald’s down to the lowest, where we’ll find the Gear Room. This larger space is set against the mill’s beautiful stonework, creating a natural and timeless atmosphere.
This is a midsized space, making it a brilliant option for so many reasons, including (but not limited to):
- Wedding receptions and dinners
- Holiday parties
- Awards banquets
Many choose to host their weddings in the Wheel Room (more on that in a moment) and move next door to the Gear Room for the reception. You can even have a sweethearts table set up, which puts the spotlight right where it should be, on the happy couple!
WHEEL ROOM
Just around the corner from the Gear Room, through an impressive glass door, sits the Wheel Room.
Wedding receptions are a common occurrence at Gardner Village, but did you know you can also tie the knot here? The Mill Plaza is a stunning outdoor ceremony selection, but our skilled Events Team can also transform the Wheel Room into an intimate ceremony space.
Here is the same gorgeous space, set two more ways, showing its versatility.
Believe it or not, there are even more configurations available, depending on your needs. Feel free to explore other possibilities with our Events Team.
BRIDAL SUITES
A feature that makes this an optimal spot for your wedding is the on-site bridal suite. Through these doors, you’ll find a private space to prepare for your walk down the aisle. There is also a private bathroom in this area, adding to the convenience factor.
For even more room, as our Events Team about The Cottage, which is a larger bridal area that can also be used for small gatherings.
ROOM WITH A VIEW
It’s easy to see why the Wheel Room has its name — you have an amazing view of our iconic water wheel right outside.
No detail is lost on the trained Events Team at Gardner Village. If you choose to host your wedding here and then move next door to the Gear Room for your reception, you can bet the décor and overall vibe of the two spaces will remain consistent.
MILL PLAZA
Just outside the Wheel Room is the popular Mill Plaza. With the removable roof structure, it offers another year-round event option. Learn more about it here.
The Gathering Place
To conclude our tour, let’s take a quick walk across The Village to The Gathering Place.
As the largest event venue at Gardner Village, it’s a great selection when hosting the following:
- Balls or school dances
- Weddings or wedding receptions
- Large school or corporate banquets
Did you know The Gathering Place can actually be subdivided into three separate spaces? This gives you even more customization options!
Gotta Cut Footloose
If you want to get the party started with a dance floor, this is your place. As you can see from this high school dance team event set-up, this space is large enough for tables to be positioned on either side with room in the middle to get your groove on.
With a sweethearts table positioned at the head of the room, this is a prime place to host a larger wedding reception.
To give you an idea, here is the same area set up without the dance floor. This is definitely the way to go for an extra large crowd!
BRIDAL SUITE
Not wanting to be left out, this space also includes access to a private bridal space, just beyond these double doors.
OPTIONS FOR ALL
No matter which event space you choose, you can count on the following amenities:
- At least one large flat screen TV, a microphone and other presentation AV equipment
- A thermostat just for the space, so you can control the temps
- A wifi connection
