The pumpkins have rolled in and those crazy, broomstick-riding babes have landed for another Halloween season. Ready to get your witch on? Here’s your Witching Hour rundown:
Witch Displays and Scavenger Hunt
Peek-a-BOO! Here’s some free fun for the fam. Print the scavenger hunt and see if you can find all of The Village’s green-faced beauties!
Six Hags Witches Adventure
Come for the Gardner Village witches, stay for the giant pillow, climb-through spider webs, and the Maze of Mayhem. It’s a great way to get those witchy wiggles out while creating a memorable experience for your family. (Learn more here.)
Witch Run
Which run? This run! The witches come out at night for a cauldron lighting, followed by a 5K walk/run hosted by On Hill Events. Sorry, no broomsticks allowed on this track. It’s for foot traffic only. See how far your pointed shoes (or sneaks) will take ya this Saturday, Sept. 30. (Learn more here.)
Witchapalooza
Ready for a wicked good time? Take a break from the usual dinner and a boo-vie and instead enjoy some good old-fashioned dinner theater fun. Bewitched, Bothered, and Bedazzled is the brand new Witchapalooza show for 2017! This blinged scene is a scream. Come see what everyone is talking about and do something a little different for a change. (Learn more here.)
Breakfast with a Witch
Long ago, in a kitchen far, far away, witches slaved away over bubbling cauldrons to prepare your breakfast. Okay, so it wasn’t that long ago. Food is prepared fresh daily, in fact. So gather your cackling kiddos and join your favorite females for Witch Wars: Return of the Witch Eye. (Learn more here.)
New! Witch in the Kitchen
You won’t find any eye of newt or wart of toad on this menu. Instead, Lucinda shares her favorite fall recipes. With four different cooking/cackling classes to choose from, you’re sure to find something that wets your witchy whistle. (Learn more here.)
Witches Night Out
Polish the points on those hats and stretch the stripes in those stockings. It’s time for a flight on the town! Grab your girls (18 and older encouraged) and come for the fun on October 13, 14 and 27 and 28. From scary good sales and contests to divine food and a parade, there’s a reason this is an award-winning Utah celebration. See you there! (Learn more here.)
Wee Witches Weekend
This celebration puts the WEE! in “weekend!” Your youngsters will squeal with delight as they enjoy The Village Halloween scene designed just for them. Plus, experience special extras brought in just for this weekend (Oct. 19-21), including face painting, Village parades, and other witchy wonders. (Learn more here.)
So? What are you waiting for? Put the petal to the… well, the broomstick, and zip in for a witch outing to remember.
Cheers!
Megan Hoeppner
Note: Due to the huge increase in traffic for Witches Night Out and Wee Witches Weekend, professional parking attendants are brought in to keep things running smoothly. Please plan on a $5/car parking fee beginning at 10 am on Oct. 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 27 and 28, 2017. Receive valuable Village coupons with each paid car. An alternative option is to take the train. The ‘Historic Gardner’ TRAX stop is across the street from Gardner Village.
Note: Whimsical witches are sure welcome. In fact, you’re encouraged to wear witch wear for all Gardner Village WitchFest events. But The Village does ask that you leave all masks at home. Thanks!
