Welcome to Spoiled Rotten Children's Boutique! This sweet clothing, accessory, and gift boutique in Gardner Village is the place to find unique outfits for everyday wear, holidays, and other special occasions. As a frequent shopper, I get so many compliments on the clothes we get from here. I just wish they came in my size. :)
Meet the Owner
You may recognize this sweet face from our fairy post. This is Maddy. Ordinarily, she doesn’t come to work dressed up as the Autumn Fairy (her lovely attire during our fairy months of April and May), but you will see her pretty smile often when shopping at Spoiled Rotten. She is the owner of the Gardner Village location of Spoiled Rotten Children's Boutique, as well as a location in Midway, UT.
More importantly, Maddy is a mother. She has boys and girls and knows firsthand what makes a reliable outfit. This is part of what makes her an excellent buyer at Spoiled Rotten. She stocks clothing children will wear. As a frequent shopper with both a four-year-old and a nine-month-old, I can attest to this. She picks soft clothing that is comfortable to wear but also durable and lasting.
This is Maddy's cute daughter. Easy to see the pretty resemblance.
I love Maddy’s Dress-Tunic-Shirt Motto. She brings in clothing that literally lasts years because it can start out as a dress, evolve to a tunic as your child grows, and eventually become a shirt. Brilliant! The same is true for pants, which can eventually work as capris.
Maddy and her team also have an eye for trends. They carry current styles as well as classic pieces. New things are added to the shelves daily, so it’s no wonder things always feel fresh and different from trip to trip.
Let’s Hear it for the Boy
Don’t let the lace, florals, and femininity fool you. There are plenty of things for girls AND boys at Spoiled Rotten.
Here's a pic of some of their male models last year, showing off their back-to-school finds. Lookin' good, fellas!
Size Wise
Spoiled Rotten carries girls clothing from newborn up to teen, and boy clothing is available in newborn—age 7.
On the Catwalk, Yeah
Let’s be honest. Shopping with the young kiddos isn’t always easy. But I’ve never been to Spoiled Rotten where I haven’t seen the youngest of customers having a grand time. Especially when the fashion show begins. The staff is ready to help with outfit choices, making it so fun to watch those babes come in and out of the dressing room in one sweet ensemble after another.
This is Scout. She just turned four, and I was lucky enough to catch her in the midst of her fashion show with her adoring grandparents. They came in and said she loves green. From there, they found the prettiest bunch of clothes for her to wear. And she was having a ball trying them all on for us. Such a cutie!
Accessory Stressory (and Family Photos)
If you’re like me, completing an ensemble can prove a bit stressful. Sure, I can find a cute top and coordinating bottom for my girl, but I never know where to take it from there. That’s a big reason why I love shopping here. The staff is SO helpful and knowledgable in this area. So many families take an annual family photo in the summer or early fall. Come in and make the most of layering and the awesome texture it adds to a finished outfit and a finished photo. Consider our on-site photography studio, Camera Shy, for the photos.
The bubble necklace is a current accessory favorite. Each is handmade and there are so many pretty options to choose from throughout the store!
If the Shoe Fits
Did you know you can get shoes at Spoiled Rotten? They stock baby and children's shoes in many styles.
One of the most popular right now are their moccasins.
I Do
Summer wedding season is in full swing. And whether your signature colors are blush and bashful or some other classy combo, Spoiled Rotten can help you match your wedding party attire. Custom order handmade sashes for all of the girls to wear around their waists. An order, which typically only takes a week or two to create, is an excellent way to tie everything together without being too matchy-matchy.
You’ll find the best assortment of flower girl options here as well. So many dainty details and beautiful designs. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, they’ll help you place a clothing order. Please allow around three weeks for this process.
Three Cheers for the Red, White & Blue
July 4th is just around the corner. Dress the part with any of the awesome options available. Here are just a few of the many choices they currently have in stock.
Toy Joy
Clothing and accessories aren’t the only goodies in store. You’ll also find an assortment of unique toys throughout the shop. Aren’t these wooden yo-yos awesome?
Unique Gift Giving
New to the store are these handmade paper boxes, filled with special newborn gifts. Give a sweet take-home-from-the-hospital outfit or show up to the shower with an adorably wrapped ensemble.
Porch Play
The shopping fun begins before you ever set foot in Spoiled Rotten. They always have pretty outfit ideas on display out front. And you won’t want to miss their $15 clearance rack, which is updated all the time and a permanent fixture out front. Nice!
Back to School
Yes, I realize school only got out a few weeks ago, but it’s never too early to start thinking about next year’s wardrobe. Buy a piece here and a piece there to save yourself from the mad dash at the last minute. Spoiled Rotten has so many sweet possibilities for your young student.
More About Spoiled Rotten
Spoiled Rotten has been in Gardner Village for four years now. Some don’t realize that at first, as they’ve called a few shops home in that time. They’re delighted to now call the last shop on the left along the main path (or the first on the right, depending on how you enter). The shop is open year-round, so you can dress to impress during every season. Come on in today and make this one stylish summer to remember!
Cheers!
Megan Hoeppner
P.S. Last week, we gave you a look at our new Fresh Fruit & Veggie Market. You can watch a flick of our talented chefs on KUTV 2's Fresh Living, showing you a super simple way to make a summer tart. Yum!
