Gardner Village Blog Forget-Me-Not Finds, a New Store to Explore
Friday Sep 5 2025

Welcome to Forget-Me-Not Finds, the newest locally owned store at Gardner Village. As the name suggests, it’s difficult to forget this one. The items they carry—a wonderful mix of vintage, handmade, and giftable—are memorable and unique. The majority are brought in by local artists right here in Utah, adding to the appeal of a purchase made here.

The family behind this family-run business isn’t new to The Village. They’re actually the same wonderful people who own the shop next door, A Great Escape Utah.

A Great Escape Utah

If you’ve ever visited, you know they have tremendous attention to detail and creating a meaningful and fun experience for each escape room guest. The same is true at Forget-Me-Not Finds. The selection of inventory is thoughtful and fresh!

Adding to the appeal, there are stories behind the items available, and owners Emily and Megan can likely tell you each and everyone one.

 grief into art

“The hummingbirds are made by a local man who lost his child,” Megan said. “He was in the hospital and a hummingbird flew up several stories to his window. That moment stuck with him, and he has turned his grief into art with his beautiful hummingbirds, made from wood and leather. The business is named after his son who passed—Bryce’s Birds.”

What a touching story! And as if the heartfelt hummingbirds weren’t enough, there is even a Halloween equivalent in these cute bats!

"Some customers stop in regularly to get more dog treats," Megan said with a smile. "Wait until those pet parents see you can now get them as a special Halloween gift!"

These adorable gourds are actually grown in the artist’s garden, harvested, dried, and turned into these unique works of art. Isn’t that neat? No wonder each one has such personality. They’re sure to make any porch happier this Halloween!

“These are made by children to fund their missionary trips to Guatemala,” Megan noted.

LOOKING FOR THE UNIQUE

Do you have something unusual to add to this brilliant mix? It doesn’t have to be “unusual” in that it’s out there, but items you won’t easily find online or in another boutique? If so, Emily, Megan, and the team at Forget-Me-Not Finds would love to hear from you. Stop in to share if selling here is of interest to you. Space is extremely limited, which is why the shop must be quite selective about filling the few remaining spots. Their goal is to support local while also making a stop at their store one to remember!

FUN FACT

Emily’s grandma’s favorite flower was the forget-me-not, which is behind the adorable sign and name of the business—another meaningful aspect that’s too good not to mention.
