It’s no secret Gardner Village values our history and preserving the past. Much time and energy went into relocating the old buildings that now call The Village home. Seeing the sampling of Utah history in one spot is special!
The focus is easily on the structures, but the look back in time doesn’t end at structures. Sprinkled throughout The Village, you’ll find another historical layer—artifacts of days gone by.
With everything from pioneer-era wagons and handcarts to antique farm equipment and old mining gear, a stroll through Gardner Village is like a visual walk through time.
This week, as we celebrate our nation’s birthday, it seems a wonderful time to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come since those earliest of days. What better way to do so than a place where you’ll find battery-powered cars in the parking lot and electric trains traveling on the track overhead, while handcarts and wagons sit on display along the walks and trails? Talk about a cool contrast!
See for yourself. The lighting is picture perfect at 7:00 PM. Grab your pals and pose by any of the unique items on display for some truly memorable, all-American images. Or bring your children and share in a happy history lesson that goes deeper than the fireworks and BBQs.
The past has so many amazing, heroic, fascinating stories to tell. Enjoy the clues to a handful of such stories, lives and experiences upon your next visit.
On behalf of everyone at Gardner Village, have a safe and happy July 4th!
Cheers!
