Gardner Village Blog Archibald's Restaurant: Your NEW Hot Spot for Holiday Parties (and everyday gatherings)
Sunday Dec 4 2016

Looking for a memorable place to host your next holiday shindig? How does a brand new (yet still historic!), beautifully designed, unique-to-Utah space sound? Pretty nice, right? Oh, did I mention the space is FREE to reserve? That’s right! During December, you can book any of the events spaces inside Archibald’s Restaurant without a reservation charge for the first two hours (when meeting food order minimum). But wait… Archibald’s is not “brand new.” True! But the lower level of the restaurant, which includes a divine event space and bar area ARE brand new, and they’re waiting for you! Take a look.

(See how this space transformed here.)

This means you can stop worrying about scrubbing your home top to bottom or planning a massive menu. Host your extended family here. There’s plenty of room. This space, called the Gear Room because of all of the original mill mechanics in view, will seat up to 60 guests.

No need to fret about enough table settings or borrowing card tables and folding chairs from the neighbors. This space will be beautifully decorated, including an extra table where guests can put gifts or you can have other items on display.

Maybe it’s a corporate event you’re looking to host? This is your spot, too. The 90” Sharp hdtv has a spot to plug in a laptop, so you can run a slideshow or other information. It’s also a way to bring your own music to the party. Simply plug in the laptop and hit play on your playlist. (The TV is great for a family slideshow, too. Hello, embarrassing photos of kiddos in their bunny PJs!)

No need for the TV? Simply close the cool sliding doors.

No matter the type of party you host in this space, you have two meal options. You can either have a buffet set up, or you can have table service. Click here for info on the event menu

Just a stroll down this stylish hallway, and more ambiance awaits.

You’ll find the brand new Mill Room, which can also be reserved for parties (seats up to 24—not recommended for parties with young children due to the tall tables).

The entire lower level of the Gardner Mill is a chic treat. The modern decor is impeccable (and inspiring!).

But this fresh, new space maintains the mill's historic charm. Your guests will be blown away by all of the detail there is to take in.

I couldn't get over the floor-to-ceiling detail. The lighting is brilliant and the holiday touches throughout Archibald's sparkle!

For more party-space options, take the stairs up a few flights.

You’ll find a third event room. The Upper Silo was remodeled this year and dazzles in its white, exposed beams, and elegant lighting.

This space holds up to 50 comfortably, but they can fit 60 in if you have a few surprise guests decide to show.

There’s a curved flat screen TV in this space also, giving you another presentation option, complete with laptop hookups.

And, of course, there’s the lower area of the main level, which has been a long-time favorite for parties.

Plus, you can't beat the outdoor magic happening at Gardner Village this time of year. It truly is magical.

You never know who you might see!

I have a feeling the atmosphere is going to be a real party pleaser.

For more information on any of these spaces, call Archibald’s Restaurant at Gardner Village at 801.566.6940 or reach out to restaurant manager, Rick Lim. I spent some time with him over the weekend, and he’s SO nice. He definitely aims to please and wants to help you make the most of your event planning.

It’s the holidays. A time to relax and enjoy time with friends. It’s hard to do that if you’re cleaning, cooking up a huge meal, and decorating. Let Archibald’s do the work for you. They just love entertaining and can’t wait to host you and yours this season!

NOTE: All of Archibald's event spaces are available year round. Now's also a great time to get a jump on those upcoming plans for 2017.

Cheers!
