Join us in welcoming Gardner Village’s newest shop, Salt City Accents! Donny and Emily, the team behind the shop, have worked hard to prepare their stunning space and fill it with unique treasures. Let’s take a look around!
Saturday was the big grand opening, and the shop was jumping with excitement and interest. With such a wide offering of stylish pieces, the mass appeal is easy to understand.
“We cater to more than one style and want to show people how different styles can work well together in a single area,” Emily said. “From farmhouse and modern chic to industrial and traditional—we offer a little of everything.”
Part of that eclectic collection includes handmade pieces from artisans here in Utah as well as around the country. These letters were actually cut from metal off of an old barn in Vermont.
A talented picker in Arkansas actually found and repurposed every piece in order to make this gorgeous desk, as well as other pieces in the store.
“It’s made from unique parts, so no two are alike,” Donny said. “Plus, we’re the only Utah vendor this artist sells to, so you won’t see her work elsewhere.”
Locally, the store carries beautiful handmade desks from a skilled craftsman in town. Like the lamps, these desks can be custom ordered if you have something specific in mind. And the turnaround is quick—typically just 2-3 weeks to get your special order!
Another Utah talent crafts these wine racks, which are full of personality.
Gotta support the team? An army veteran makes these cool pipe lamps, which are totally customizable. If you don’t see your team's colors and logo on site, you can have a lamp made in just two weeks. Talk about an awesome Mother’s or Father’s Day gift! (Non-sports themed options also available.)
The slot easily holds a cell phone or even business cards, and and you can pick from a variety of emblem options.
Here’s the best part! A portion of every lamp sale goes to the Wounded Warrior Project. Donny is an United States Air Force veteran and is happy to give back to others who have served.
With such heart behind the inventory, it seems Salt City Accents could just as easily go by Salt of the Earth!
“We try to focus on local artists,” Donny said. “It’s a wonderful way to show our community and creators support.”
Beyond original statement pieces, Salt City Accents carries plenty of smaller decor pieces and gift ideas.
“With Gardner Village being a wedding venue and resource, we offer a great assortment of gift ideas for newlyweds,” Emily added. “And we want you to give a gift that’s complete, which is why all of our lanterns and candles come with the required batteries.”
Sounds like a bright idea, indeed!
Salt City Accents is located between The Art Cottage and M Soaps. Stop in soon and join us in welcoming Emily and Donny to our Village community. They look forward to meeting you!
