Borrowing from the incomparable Mr. Rogers, it’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood! A VERY beautiful day! After years without one, Gardner Village again has a shop focused exclusively on stationery and paper crafting! Say hello to Posh Paperie. This gorgeous new store is easily one of the sweetest paper places in Utah.

“I’ve always had a love affair with paper,” Sandy Workman, Posh Paperie’s owner, said. If you already know Sandy, it might surprise you to learn this about her. You see, she’s also the owner of Pine Needles, which is the enchanting quilting and sewing store in The Village. Of course, if your heart beats to a creative drummer, Sandy’s equal devotion to both paper and fabric won’t shock you. It’s easy to fall head-over-heels for more than one creative outlet, and these two mediums play so well together.

Fortunately for Sandy (and us!), the stars in her dream of owning a paper shop seemed perfectly aligned. Just as she started to envision what a spot might look like, some space in the building attached to hers opened up.
“I saw a need in The Village just as Shopaholics had decided to downsize,” Sandy said. “Six months later, my dream went from an idea to a reality. And the shop is even conveniently connected to Pine Needles, which is so nice!”

If, like Sandy, your hearts beats for paper and fabric, this is your one-stop shop. There’s even an opening between the two stores, so you can easily go from one wonderland to the next. And what a joyous trip it is to make, too!

MORE THAN A CRAFTING STORE
Even if you aren’t a “paper crafter” in the traditional sense, you’ll still want to visit Posh Paperie. In addition to the latest crafting supplies and tools, they carry gift wrap, party supplies, journals, notebooks, gifts, greeting cards, and more!

“Supporting independent artists is very important to me,” Sandy said. “I carry a unique assortment of cards and postcards designed by artists throughout the US… pieces you won’t find mass-produced and in big box stores.”

Crafters, you may want to sit down for this one… Get a load of this tantalizing trims wall! Swooooon!

“I love the trims,” Sandy said with a smile. “And the paper wreaths, and…” It’s clear she has a soft spot in her heart for all she brings into this welcoming shop.

PROJECT KITS
Like Sandy’s two stores, her art comes together. Paper meets fabric and trims in many of her projects on display throughout the shop.

A stroll through Posh Paperie is like a walk through a real-life Pinterest. You’ll fill your creative cup with numerous project ideas. I mean, a paper blossom in a vintage doorknob… hello, cutest idea ever!

Lucky for us, many of the project ideas on display are kitted, which means we can simply buy the bundles and assemble the crafts with ease. Get a few kits and have a crafting night with your pals. Adding a handmade touch to your homes has never been easier.

You’ll find card kits and project kits released monthly, so you’ll have the opportunity to create and decorate for every season.

“I love the vintage look of things,” Sandy said. “It’s fun to combine that style with a modern twist as we make projects.”

COME FOR CLASSES, COME TO CONNECT
When I asked Sandy what she was most excited about in having a store, she didn’t hesitate to say, “I can’t wait to expand classes and introduce paper topics. I adore the social aspect of paper crafting! I can see it now… In the spring, when the weather is nice, we’ll open that garage door and have patio parties and fairy projects… It will be amazing!”

Amazing, indeed! And you don’t have to wait until spring to get in on the magic. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Posh Paperie is officially open for business. Stop by, say hi, and get lost in the happiness of it all.

“There’s something special about anything that’s creative,” Sandy said. “Any time you can turn something raw into something pretty, it’s a very special thing!”

We couldn’t agree more, Sandy! Thanks for having the courage and heart (and energy!) to follow another dream. Like Pine Needles, Posh Paperie is divine and a treat for all who visit. Yippee!
Cheers!
