It’s called the Farmers Market, but the unique atmosphere doesn’t end at fresh crops and locally-grown delights. Homegrown Utah talent is ripe for the pickin’ at this full makers’ market.
At the Gardner Village Farmers Market, every booth has a story to tell. In fact, many booths are run by entire families, coming together to help support one another. Such stories and heart that make this form of shopping extra special and memorable.
A MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCE
Meet Chris and Kim. Orion, their only child, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis the day he was born. Today, this sweet boy is nine. His parents have spent the past nine years doing all they can to help their child.
“We do everything we can to support our family… make things, work several jobs… whatever it takes. We’d rather earn money than sleep, I guess,” Chris laughed, describing their many efforts to cover medical costs and support their dear family.
Their inventory includes handmade personal care items and other… unusual (and fascinating!) treasures.
“It’s viking tupperware,” Chris said with a smile, describing this cool drink horn.
A LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Parents, you’re going to love this! Gardner Village gives young makers a place to sell at their handmade wares. It’s an amazing way for children to learn about business while also being creative and sociable. Helen is one such maker. This 12-year-old is behind Lush Slime. Well, behind and in front of and in the trenches. She does everything to see that her brand is successful.
“I don’t do anything besides drive her here and let her do her thing,” Helen’s proud mama, Tracey, said. “I gave her seed money in the beginning, and that’s it. She buys all her own supplies and does all the work.”
“I started Lush Slime a year-and-a-half ago. I heard Gardner Village allows kids to have booths, and I thought it would be fun to sell here. I did some research and knew this would be a great place. I love it,” Helen said with a grin.
“Helen is a member of Jr. Achievement, an entrepreneur organization that teaches business. It’s helped her learn how to analyze the cost of materials and get inventory and run a successful business. Being here at Gardner Village has been the perfect place to practice what she’s learned,” Tracey explained.
WTG, Helen! You and the other kids that have market booths are really something!

Even pups get a kick out of this inviting atmosphere.
AN ENTERTAINING EXPERIENCE
Each market includes free live music. Hearing from local talent adds to the overall feel of this happy Saturday spot.
Friends from The Farm at Gardner Village love to roam and say hello. It’s not every day you can listen to music alongside an alpaca.
Watch for more information on special entertainment coming in August. The young and adorable members of Li’l Gym are visiting to share a special performance.
A TASTY EXPERIENCE
Deciding what to buy from the impressive harvest can be hard. Good thing the farmers happily share free samples. It’s one of the many sweet perks of market shopping.
The samples also include fresh milk products from two of Utah’s favorite dairy farmers—Rosehill Dairy and Winder Dairy.
What would a market be without food trucks? From freshly prepared food to plenty of unique snack options, the market has a variety of tasty choices.
Of course, you can also visit Naborhood Bakery or Archibald’s Restaurant for additional meal options.
A VILLAGE EXPERIENCE
Some of your favorite Gardner Village shops have booths where they sell things at special prices. If you’re a fan of Spoiled Rotten Children’s Boutique, you’ll adore their Market booth!
Shopping at The Village, whether indoors or out, is always fun. The photo ops are plentiful and the atmosphere is welcoming.

It's where the west was won! Everyone will be asking where you got your striking jewelry.
Don't forget to dress those walls in style with hand painted art.
A COZY EXPERIENCE
“There are many markets out there,” said Jenna, the market’s organizer. “One thing I’ve heard from several of our vendors is there’s just something special about being a part of Gardner Village. Our market is intimate and friendly, giving our vendors and guests wonderful opportunities to connect. It really does create a fun and personable shopping experience!”
A CONVENIENT EXPERIENCE
You’ll always find plenty of places to park. Clean indoor bathrooms are close. Indoor dining and shopping offer quick cool-downs. And plenty of seating is nearby for when you want to rest a minute. It’s easy to see why guests find the convenience of this market so appealing.
A LIMITED-TIME EXPERIENCE
The Farmers Market is seasonal. Enjoy before it’s gone. It’s every Saturday between now and October 27, 2018 from 9 AM to 1 PM. As the seasons change, the produce, vendors, and entertainment change, so visit often to see what’s new.
The Gardner Village Farmers Market may not be the largest market in the state, but the intimate atmosphere has a lovely blend of the different things one would hope to find at a market—fresh produce and dairy items, gorgeous plants, handmade pieces, jewelry, beauty and personal care items, home decor, art, children's books and toys, baby and toddler gear, tasty treats, and more! Plus, it's nestled right in Gardner Village, where even more summertime shopping awaits. It's no wonder people love making this a Saturday morning stop.
