Do you, dear blog reader, take this post as your guide to Utah’s newest bridal boutique? If you answered “I do,” you’re going to fall head-over-heels for Boda Bridal, the newest shop to open at Gardner Village.
The ribbon was officially cut a few weeks ago at a glorious grand opening celebration and fashion show!

“I used to go to Gardner Village with my mom when I was little, and I loved it so much,” said Boda Bridal co-owner, Destrie Dee. “I remember when I was around 12 years old, I told my mom that I was going to open a store here someday. To see that childhood fantasy become today’s reality, is beyond exciting… and kind of surreal!”
When you step inside Boda Bridal, you can tell a lifetime of dreaming and planning have gone into every detail. The shop is just gorgeous.

Of course, the wedding dresses are the icing on this wedding cake. Destrie designs every elegant look. She has such an eye for design. Her looks beautifully combine classic wedding elegance with the latest in modern bridal trends.

Boda Bridal offers plenty of modest dress options but can also alter just about any dress to meet specific dress desires. In fact, you can even have a dress completely custom-made, starting from scratch. Boda’s mission is to see every bride 100% satisfied with their gown outcome.

“Every time we meet a girl who’s in a panic because she can’t find her dream dress and we’re able to bring that dream to life for her, it’s an unforgettable feeling. Seeing brides moved to tears by something we’ve done… well, nothing is better than that,” Destrie said.
Beyond the show-stopping dresses, you’ll find a gorgeous assortment of headpieces and veils, unique belts for every dress style, intricate appliqués, jewelry, modern bridesmaid dresses, and even reception wear.

Destrie credits her mother and Boda business partner, Paula Strasburg, for her current career happiness.

“My mom has been sewing my entire life. I loved watching her. I remember when I was about seven years old, I stole a bunch of her fabric and started sewing my own clothes. From that moment on, I was hooked,” Destrie said with a laugh.

Destrie and Paula started Boda in Paula’s home. They clearly work well together, as the business has grown quickly.

“Our talents really complement each other,” Destrie said. “My mom has pulled us out of some hard situations with the amazing alterations she can do. She was a nurse and risk manager at a hospital her whole life, so her work ethic and ability to stay calm in stressful situations has served her well. She's great with our customers!”

Boda Bridal is certainly built by the support of family. Destrie is the youngest of eight children. She said all of her siblings have supported her business dreams and efforts. Her father (pictured below) has stepped up in a major way, too.

“My dad works a full-time job and still made the store happen,” Destrie said. “He would stay until 2 a.m. and work on building and renovating, just to then go to his day job at 7 a.m. We wouldn’t be where we are without him.”

You can feel the love Boda was built on as you walk in the store. Destrie and her team genuinely want to make each and every bride they work with love the process of finding their dream dress.

“As much as I love running this business and creating wedding dresses, I love our brides,” Destrie said with joy in her voice. “We bond with these girls and build relationships with them. We become friends, which is such a special thing.”

As if the personal element and customization options aren’t enough reason to choose Boda, they also offer very competitive pricing.

“Our price point is really low, especially for custom work,” Destrie said. “Typically, custom gowns range from $3,000 - $6,000, but all of our dresses are less than $2,000 with most less than $1,500.”

Boda Bridal offers you high-end boutique amenities and fashion at very affordable prices. Stop by to find the dress of your dreams. Even if you aren’t currently planning a wedding, you’ll want to step inside this darling shop and check out the other goodies they carry. From pretty purses to chic clothing, it really is a lovely Gardner Village stop. One we hope to have and to hold for years to come.
